The San Felipe Blues Against Hunger 2018 Jamboree! a HUGE SUCCESS!

The Blues Against Hunger Society's 2018 Jamboree! music series from March 18-April 29 in El Dorado Ranch at La Palapa Bar & Grill in beautiful San Felipe, Baja California ends with a capacity crowd and a very successful 8-week concert food drive.

Blues Against Hunger wants to thank all of the incredible musicians that participated and shared their passion for their community and their music. Whether their backgrounds were blues, or rock or whether it was jazz, country or something else, they all came together weekly to an incredible musical experience and each unique. You are the music. Thank you.

To all the incredibly generous community of San Felipe, you outdid yourselves each week. Even on week 8, when the majority of the population had already begun their northern migration we had our biggest collection of food donations this season. You have made a big impact on the nutritional needs of families in San Felipe, especially children with disabilities and homebound elderly. You made a difference. Thank you.

We need to thank Volunteers without Limits, an organization dedicated to feeding the hungry and helping families of children with severe disabilities. Thank you to Susan Young, Chuck Bryant, Kyle Crawford and all the cooks, drivers, staff and volunteers. Blues Against Hunger agrees with your own description..."it is important to work together as a community to bring about positive change and to help San Felipe continue to grow and become a thriving self-supporting and self-sustaining community." That says it all. And to Gene D. for feeding the families in the Ejido.   It's people and groups like theirs that make positive change. Thank you.

Lastly, and not least, thank you to El Dorado Ranch, Cesar Quirarte and all his staff at both the Pavilion Restaurant and La Palapa Bar & Grill for the great work and support. Looking forward to doing it again, only bigger next year, so be sure and buy more Pacifico ;-)   Muchas gracias!
