Blues Against Hunger Society 2022 Annual Report

Blues Against Hunger Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to fighting hunger with music. We produce food drive live concerts in Baja, Mexico and the Northwest Southwest US.

In 2022 BAHS's team produced 40+ Food Drive events, which collected over 18,203 pounds of food that fed orphans and families in Baja and the US. Thanks to the boots on the ground; BAHS's Community Partners helping to provide over 1,000's of much-needed meals to those who are struggling throughout Baja and the South West US. 

Thanks to our top 10 community partners Hearts Of Baja, Feeding Rosarito, La Mision Children's Fund, Helping Hands, ACIFAC, Volunteers without Limits, SF Men's Rehab Center, Better Together, North County San Diego Food Bank, and Yuma Community Food Bank.

Also in 2022 our BAHS squad (volunteers) gave 1540 hours at BAHS Jamborees & concerts, performing & Jamming, packing & distributing food, and helping share the mission of giving hunger the BLUES to the world! Thank you to everyone for your support!

Mission

The Blues Against Hunger Society (BAHS) is a 501(c)(3) US non-profit organization. Our mission is to produce live blues events that promote the collection and distribution of non-perishable food to the hungry while supporting, promoting and preserving the blues in the communities it serves.

Vision

Our vision is a world where everyone has access to healthy food and live music. We believe that music has the power to bring people together and to create positive change in the world. Our events are a way to bring people together to enjoy great music and to make a difference in the lives of others.

Values

Blues Against Hunger Society's giving circle has four parts that breathes life into the efforts and mission of BAHS. Each part giving of themselves and passing it forward to the next partner in a continuous circle of giving.

 

• VENUES/SPONSORS provide a welcoming environment for the BAHS events and gatherings. 

• BAHS FANS & HELPERS are the people in the community that come out each event to support the BAHS live music and the BAHS mission

• MUSICIANS provide the life blood; the music is what brings fans and helpers together.

• COMMUNITY PARTNERS are the muscle; the people and organizations in the community that are face to face with hunger and the people in need.

Blues Against Hunger Society is the catalyst that brings each part of the circle together for fun, music, and good will! Help BAHS feed our communities through music! 

2023 Goals

In 2023, we plan to hold 12-20 food drive events. Collect over 20,000 pounds of food to as many families and people as needed. We also plan to expand our reach to other communities in Baja, Mexico and the North and South West in the US.

We are confident that we can achieve these goals with the support of our venues/sponsors, BAHS squad, musicians, and supporters.  Thank you all, we could not do this without your support!
